Yeah I think I'll barely meet those requirements, if they are the true ones.

I wouldn't have trouble meeting the requirements, but as has been said in some other threads, I'm guessing that those specs would allow you to run the game, but not very well.

I only have 256mb of ram, but have another stick arriving soon. My GF4 should work, but you seem to have forgotten that (at least in the UK) the game is an 18, and so I won't be able to get it, do you think that is considered a requirement? Maybe in 4 years I will have a computer that will play it at least.

I wonder how it will look on the Xbox. The Xbox graphics chip is a modified GeForce 3. Anyway, mine should have no trouble running it.

I should be able to run it, just without all the extra eye candy and such.

Darn, looks like I'll have to get a little more RAM if I want to play that one. 1.8GHz Celeron, TI4200, and 256MB RAM here, enough for Half Life 2, but looks like Doom 3 is a little more resource hungry.

Hehe - I think I'm good to go - If anything, the RAM might have some slight troubles.

I think the ideal specs should be posted, instead of the minimum.
The ideal specs are those you need to enjoy the game, not just to run it.

even jedi outcast runs sloppy on my system. |

Didn't want to start a new thread, think my GeForce 4 MX 420 will play it on min. settings? Yeah I know I need a new card, but the money just isn't there at the moment.

Well, the minimum's a GF3, and you have a GF4, so you should be ok. Minimum settings for you though.

That's good to hear, but it seems such a waste to play it on minimum settings.

Actually, the min is a GF4 MX b/c a GF3ti500 beats a GF4MX. They say min is GF3 because it is the oldest tech., even tho its faster than a GF4MX.
