Red face Emulator Gaming - OK to max out CPU?

Hi,
I've never gotten into gaming, but I am reliving my childhood through a bbc emulator. I'm worried 'cos I noticed that all the time the game is playing my cpu is running 100% permanently.

Is this OK or will it damage my machine? (Sorry if this is a daft question, I just have no idea!)

The software is for any P2 300+, my machine is a home-build Athlon 2400+, 256mb RAM, XP Home.

Thanks for advice!
Gemma.

My CPU has been running at 100% for a long time now because of F@H, and no problems to report here.

emulator...

I'm playing a bbc emulator - model-b. Its the only bbc emulator I've managed to get to work properly, had problems with all the others. Games like Repton, Chuckie-egg, paperboy and ravenskull.
