Apples and Oranges
.DirectX is a part of Windows, the means by which the games can access the CPU and memory directly. OpenGL is the API for the game, the base of instructions in which the game itself was written. For games there's Glide, OpenGL, and D3D, but they all require DirectX. Xayd |

Many games offer you the choice between OpenGL and Direct3D (e.g. Half-Life). There you can set it.
Glide you can forget, it's only used by 3dfx cards (as Voodoo, Banshee). You have a card with nVidia chipset, so glide can't be used. If the game doesn't offer you the above mentioned choice, then normally it will use Direct3D (should be documented in manual). RJ

I don't know if I remember this correctly but I thought a way back to the TNT2's Creative Labs was working on a so called "glide wrapper" to be used by this card. Anybody have some info on this and what happened to this? Thanks.

There were, yes, but 3dfx sued them for distributing Glide drivers, so they had to remove it from their site
.A thorough web search should turn up the files somewhere, though. Xayd |
