A few copies of DOOM3 got sold early...
Looks like a few Best Buy stores accidently put a few copies on their shelves before the official release date...

I worked at Best Buy for a while. All inventory shipments come in on Fridays and Wednesday. So the game has been in stores since Friday(at least in the back anyway). Ive seen this happen with other media from Best Buy also.
