Doom 3 - OpenGL or Direct3D?
Has anyone heard anything about one running doom 3 better than the other?

i havent heard anything, but i would assume it will run better on Open GL, since it is an Open GL based game.

Even though the Radeon 9800 pro is very good at DX3D, I ran Doom3 at OpenGL and it was far more impressive in graphics.

Please show us how to run doom 3 on Open GL!

it runs Open GL on nvidia by default...ATIs need Cat 4.9 to run the game like an nvidia card.

How do I check and see if I have CAT 4.9 and if I don't, where do I get it?

Thanks for the link.
I have installed it and well, it keep searching for the correct driver after I startup and it never finds it and installed the card. Any suggestions? |
