Question Doom 3 - OpenGL or Direct3D?

Has anyone heard anything about one running doom 3 better than the other?

i havent heard anything, but i would assume it will run better on Open GL, since it is an Open GL based game.

Even though the Radeon 9800 pro is very good at DX3D, I ran Doom3 at OpenGL and it was far more impressive in graphics.

I've heard there aren't any performance increases in the 4.9s

Since they just came out, if you haven't knowingly installed it, you don't have it.
