Well, that seems to be pretty close to what I got on my 3dMark2002 test. My system is very close to what you have.
I got: CPU: 4063 MEM: 2938 HDD: 986 ~sd ASRock P4M266 / P4 1.8Ghz / 256 MB PC2100 / Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600 128 MB / WD 40gig / Win98SE / 300w PSU |

Twisted385, you have SDRAM in your sig, which has a FSB of 133, while swampdonkey's RAM is running at 266.

How is it that you scored 440 with a 60 gig hard drive, and I scored a 986 with my 40 gig? Is it based on free space? BTW, my HD is 7200RPM 2mb cache ~sd Our CPUs were almost identical- even though I have 200 more mhz

Well that 6.5, I am not sure what rpm it is, but that is the drive i have windows installed on. The 60 gig is 7200rpm and I use it for storage.

'Well that 6.5, I am not sure what rpm it is' i'd expect its 5,400rpm
you might see a bit of a performance increase by ditching the 6.5gb hard drive and having windows installed on the 60gb one.. if its not too much hassel. fat32 is faster under general use also. i think searches and defrags and that sort of thing are faster with NTFS thou, and better 'security' if u care. |
