Newbie Doom3 fps Question

How do I check my fps in doom3?

get fraps http://www.fraps.com/

First you must enable the console. On the shortcut you use to run Doom 3, change it to

"C:\Program Files\Doom 3\doom3.exe" +set com_allowConsole "1"

(do use the quotes)

Once this is done, you may enter "com_showfps 1" in the console by pressing tilda (~).

Another option to have your frame rate always show is to add it to the shortcut like so...

"C:\Program Files\Doom 3\doom3.exe" +set com_allowConsole "1" com_showfps "1"

roses you dont have to enable the console like that...if you simply push "ctrl+alt+ ~ " it will open like that....just a note
