If your system won't run it, then I might as well not bother downloading the Demo when it comes out
![]() Yes yours will play it. I would think Med Graphics, 800x600, but heck, I don't have the game. Those #'s just sound right

with the Catalyst 4.9 beta you should be able to run 1024 x 768 on medium or high no problem. i have a 5700 ultra, the nvidia equivalent to the 9600XT and i play at 1024 x 768 on high with 4xAA.

I played doom 3 on my friends system, with 2.40ish ghz p4 cpu, 512 ddr ram, and a radeon 9600 128mb.....best setting seemed to be medium setting at 800x600.....when i clicked on the button that supposedly choses the best setting for the video card; it chose medium setting at 640x480...but i couldnt tell a difference between the 2 resolutions performance wise.....
im waiting for my geforce 5600 in the mail

"i play at 1024 x 768 on high with 4xAA"
"I'd say so too - 800x600 high maybe with AA2X" What does the AA2X and 4xAA mean? Also, what will happen if your resolution is too high? Will the game lag and flicker? Thanks Computer_User |

Anti Aliasing. You know when you zoom into an image so much, you get jagged edges on the image because you are looking into a small portion of the image in such a large amount of space? AA smooths out those edge...the greater the AA, the smoohter the edges are. Of course, it does lag your computer a bit if you turn it up too high...I once turned it up to 16x AA and got only 800x600 Medium on a Radeon 9800 Pro, I was complaining
. 2XAA is all you should really need, maybe 4x.Hope that helps, kram |

The 5600 and 5700 dont run the game that well. I have the 5700 and i have to run it at med quality at 800x600. Its a 2.8e with ht and 512 RAM so i know the graphics card needed to be upgraded. Anyways, Tibs, id just upgrade to a better card instead if you bought it for Doom. Im still waiting for my 6800 Ultra in the mail

It's rather sad when a 128 MB DDR card will only get you 800X600 in a game...
