I installed Baldur's Gate onto a CD. The installation also included putting a shortcut and Uninstall option in the Programs Menu on the computer. I deleted those because I didnt want any game data on the computer at all. Now I cant uninstall the game.
How do I wipe out all game data, or produce an uninstall file? I wiped out CD already, but it acts like data is still there even though it isnt, and the game Baldurs gate continues to try to Autorun into the Main menu instead of giving me the Install option. I tried using different CD but cant get the Install option from Baldur's Gate. Reason Im uninstalling is because I seem to have put too much onto the CD, so the game wont play. I was going to go back and try using a minimal install. |

Go into the registry and delete the BG key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE. Then, delete everything related to the game on your HDD. That should do it, but be careful editing the registry, you could easily screw up your system if you delete the wrong key.

Backup your registry before doing what AWD suggested.

Whoops, good idea. I manually edit my registry so often that I usually forget to back it up first. Sorry about that.

To back up the registry, follow the Instructions for your operating system here: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...rc=sec_doc_nam
Once you have it backed up: Start>Run>type "regedit" and hit OK. From there go to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE>Software>Find any Baldur's Gate references and delete them. If theres a problem, follow the restore directions on that page.

http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/r/registry.html All installs write some information in the registry. Sometimes the uninstallers the game uses, leave registry entries behind.
