are you playing on b.net? single player campaigns shouldnt be that hard to start with... anyways... if ur using the quick search button it'll find you an opponent thats also new (hopefully). The best strategy i used when i played awhile ago was to devote the first couple of minutes to only building resource gatherers and basic buildings. Do this for mabye 3-4 minutes but as soon as you get a barracks or an equivalent, start getting basic soldiers like a foot men. First buildings you get should be an alter, a barracks or equivalent, and a couple of food buildings. you can do that with your starting money if i'm not mistaken. Then get a free hero and resource gatherers then start getting basic soldiers while gathering resources and building more food buildings. The key to base building is multitasking. When you have a decently sized troop, 1 hero and mabye 4-5 soldiers, you can go out creeping to build up experience for your hero and all the while still keeping up with expanding your base. if you can, expand to another gold mine it will rlly spped things up. Don't do this off the bat tho. Again, multitasking is really the secret to all RTS games

Here is a site that I visit often:
http://www.battle.net/war3/ And definately play 1 vs 1, that is how I started on battle.net. If you still lose a lot online, then play against the computer and set the hardness level to easy. Please read about each race on this site above, it will help you immensely. Oh and save the replays when you lose on battle.net, then you can watch what your opponent did. RoyalT |

I apologize if I offended you...
I was only trying to help. When I started playing war3 I went through the same thing as you. Geez...calm down. I take it you knew all of the information about each race and don't like http://www.battle.net/war3 that site. I don't play that much either, but I have been playing for a while. That game has kind of a steep learning curve. People that get offended shouldn't ask for advice

Alright Cool
So its all good...I will be more careful with what I say next time I'm trying to help someone. Last note, here is a site I visit sometimes: http://wc3.warcraftstrategy.com/forum/ Now this site is a lot better than the last one I posted. I love frozen thrown for the record...especially Night Elf. RoyalT |
