Unhappy Doom 3 runs slow

I got doom 3 today and it runs but super slow so hold on

[]my system

Minimum System Requirements
Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP [Windows XP]

Pentium® 4 1.5 GHz or Athlon™ XP 1500+ processor [Athlon™ XP 2800+]

384MB RAM [this is the only thing i lack could this be the problem 256mb]

8x Speed CD-ROM drive (1200KB/sec sustained transfer rate) and latest drivers [52x speed]

2.2GB of uncompressed free hard disk space (plus 400MB for Windows® swap file) [done]

100% DirectX® 9.0b compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers [direct x 9.0]

100% Windows® 2000/XP compatible mouse, keyboard and latest drivers
DirectX® 9.0b (included) [done]

3D hardware Accelerator Card Required - 100% DirectX® 9.0b compatible 64MB Hardware Accelerated video card and the latest drivers.
ATI® Radeon 8500
ATI® Radeon 9000
ATI® Radeon 9200 [done 128MB]
ATI® Radeon 9500
ATI® Radeon 9600
ATI® Radeon 9700
ATI® Radeon 9800
All Nvidia® GeForce 3/Ti series
All Nvidia® GeForce 4MX series
All Nvidia® GeForce 4/Ti series
All Nvidia® GeForce FX series

Please help me i really wanted to play it

The thing about minimum system requiremetns is that they often are not 100% correct. You do not have enough ram and that is deffinetly a problem. I would suggest getting 512 mb of ram and maybe upgrading your video card to at least a 9600 pro. You also might want to get Direct X 9.0C and the catalyst 4.9 beta vedio drivers. You deffinetly need the ram though.

its workin now i updated the graphics driver

it was poor

its now playable

with more ram it would be gr8 lol

I have mine playable (plus a bit more) with the 9200. I'm not upgrading for a LONG time.

lol dam right the radeon 9200 is fine y do we always have to upgrade
