The Medal of Honor Pacific Assault demo is out!
I've been waiting forever and now it's finally here. I'm a big fan of the Medal of Honor series and I really hope it lives up to the hype. Now it's only going to be another 4 hours because the fastest server I can find is going 33.3 kb/s.

Do you have a link? I will probably download it tomorrow, see how my new 9800 holds out. Sounds great though, I'm really waiting for a Doom III demo.

Oops! Sorry I forgot the link.
Here are several because many don't work or are extrememely slow. Fragland, FilePlanet, 3D Gamers. EDIT: While I was typing this something happened. I think the power hiccuped or something because both PC's restarted and I lost my progress with the download. The odd thing is that none of the digital clocks in the house are blinking. I don't know what happened.

Thanks for this, got the page bookmarked. About the power, where I live we get them hiccups quite a lot, it's like the plant can't cope. I am even considereing getting UPS because the restarts are that bad. At work we run a number of webservers, and file servers, and we had them all on UPS, unfortunatly it seems to have broken or something and so everytime the powerplant doesn't give enough juice the servers reset, the network goes down and the website goes offline.

Well it is a very rare occurance around here. Today has just been odd. My cable internet went down twice today. The first time it has gone out in over two years.

I have to say that it happens about once or twice a week here. It started ever since the third turbine in the powerstation broke, they have real problems supplying the power.

I installed it and tried to play it. It took over 6 minutes to load the menu. Almost 10 minutes later I was in the game but I couldn't play. It moved about 1 frame every 30 seconds. I got out of the game, lowered all settings to minimum and now it just loaded in the same 6 minutes. It plays OK barely. I am dissapointed so far with performance. It is most likely due to the 256 MB of RAM that I currently have installed. I also hope that the dull stereo sound is only limited to the demo. The old MOH games did not utilize EAX or any other surround sound format. I sure hope this one does but so far there is no sign.

i've just played a few seconds of the actual demo, i've watched the intro and stuff. From what i've seen, the graphics in this demo is awsome! but very very laggy...

I just saw that the DEMO has no DX9 paths. So the actual game will look better than the demo, and possibly run faster.

i hope so....
i've played some more of it and its really cool. so far, u kill a lot of japs in gun combat, and then u gotta shoot down jap planes. i haven't gotten past the shooting down planes part because i always seem to die when i'm on the mounted machine gun

i've switched the settings to medium, and at 800 x 600. It was at high and 1024 x 768 before (no wonder i had so much lag lol). now it only has some lag, but overall, it plays much better than before.
