poor gaming performence

Just bought a e-GeFORCE FX 5500 video card with 256k ddr mem and I lag on HalfLife TFC. My old Gforce 64mb card kicked butt and it was three years old.

My ping rate on the online games is great(DSL). any help would be appreciated. Thx in advance

i would first uninstall the old drivers, put in the new ones, check what graphics accelerator you have turned on in half life, and the report back. i think you should use openGL
