FPS games with snipering?
Hey guys, I love first person shooters. What I love even more is FPS games with lots of levels involving sniper rifles. I just love creeping up and taking guys out from long distances. What games out there have a lot of this?

u should take up Unreal Tournament 2004... plenty of space for your 'snipering'. Unfortunately it is well balanced where I can shoot back with good odds of killing you... heh

I just finsihed Unreal 2. It had some pretty darn good snipering. I'll get UT2K4, but chances are I'll get stomped!

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Call of Duty also have great sniper maps. I still love playing in sniper only servers on the Stalingrad map in MOH.

The first game that I had fun with playing a sniper was Team Fortress Classic (the Half-Life multiplayer add-on).

I'll recomend Joint Opperations becuase you can hide on grassy hill and shoot people from a few hundred meters. I've shot a guy 700 meters away.

America's Army is free and so is Desert Combat if you already have Battlefield 1942.

This thread reminded me of a sniper arcade game i played this summer. Very fun, had a "scope" mounted on the gun for making those precise shots. I just can't for the life of me remember the name of it .

The maps are huge. It's perfect for what you want, as you can climb up a mountain, duck in bushes and start sniping. |
that game is silent scope. i think only PS2 has it. Yes, that's the one. It looks like the only systems it's for are the PS2, and one older version for the DC. Too bad I don't have either of those systems. |

Just like to second Call Of Duty for snipering! Even new players can get a few crafty shots in. Battlefield Nam 2. Don't know if it's me or my comp though, but snipering not so good on higher ping servers even if you aren't noticing lag.
Snipering rules though. I'm terrible with machine guns in COD! COD United Offensive out today too. There should be some good sniper action in the new multiplayer modes.

I remember Hitman 1. There was one level maybe at the end where I took out dozens of baddies from the jungle. I had to cheat the ammo to have enough. It was like shooting ducks on the water.
