Why is this happening??

I installed Far Cry on my desktop, it prompted me to reboot my desktop so I did.
Now I insert the play disk and click on the play link that pop's up and I get the following error:

"Please insert the correct CDrom select ok and restart application"

I got the same error when I Installed splinter cell, can anyone please tell me what the heck is going on?

Make sure you put in the first CD of the series.

Any cloning apps on your comp?

Thanks everyone, DEVO means when a product can be shipped back to the manufacturer (i guess thats how u spell it )and or the distributor and the store gets the credit back for the product.

I was running it from a dvd rom drive and then switched it to a CD-burner and had the same problem.
So I did the following: I set up my dvd rom to IDE 3 and plugged in a spare cd-rom I had and it worked fine, now i can play my game.
I thank you all for your replies take care.
