Cool Halo 2 has gone GOLD!

....for the XBox, but the PC version shouldn't be too far behind.

Halo 2 Gold:
Blue’s News has posted word that Halo 2 has gone gold. While this is Xbox related news, I am sure there is a TON of you out there that are just as excited as I am to hear Halo 2 is ready to roll.

Microsoft Game Studios today announced that Halo® 2 for Xbox®, the most-anticipated video game of the year, has gone gold and will ship simultaneously over three days to 27 countries in eight languages. Halo 2 will be available on November 9 throughout North and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

I can't wait for it to come out! I have a question tho, it may be stupid or whatever, but i never was quite sure about it. What does it mean when a game goes "gold"? I figured it means that it was nearing release, but i'm not sure.

I thought it was announced a while back...though I'm excited about its release as I'm going to definately get the PC version whenever available.

"Going gold" means that the software has been sent to the manufacturer to begin mass production.

Awsome! And awsome also that now I know what gold means! Is there and ETA for the PC version? It's either $150 for an Xbox, or $250 for a new vid card. Hmm, I think I'll do both eventually!
