HL2 sent to ratings board and sent in for certification

So what have we all been waiting ever so patiently, and some not so patiently, for these past months. Half-Life 2, one of the most anticipated games of the year (and last year too) has been submitted to the ratings boards and passed on to the BBFC for certification. This makes the November rumors much more exciting, doesn't it? Let's give a shout out to Cole for this one. Valve Software's Half-Life 2 has been submitted to the BBFC for certification, we've learnt this afternoon, news which adds credence to recent rumours that Vivendi is shortly to announce that the hotly anticipated first-person shooter sequel has finally 'gone gold'.

I've got a UK games magazine (PC Zone) here that has a 12 page review (must be some kind of record ) and basically proclaims HL2 to be the Second Coming. 97%. I haven't really read the review thoroughly, but it does look like Valve not only has an actual game (hear that, 3DRealms ?) but it's very very good. They scored it higher than Doom 3 in any case, so here's hoping it's as good as they claim.
