this is gonna be such a sweet game... i've been waiting FOREVER for this... I bought my Live subscrip. 2 days ago, pre-ordered like a month ago, going to stand in line @ 10 PM Monday night before the other 600 pre-orders... I've never stood in line for anything before. i'm psyched!! I'm gonna be up all night playing the stupid multiplayer!! I'm gonna try to secure my place in the top 100 ladders early on.. lol- i wish.

Looks like a sweet game...the trailer looks more like a movie preview than a game review...another tribute to what is anticipated as a close to real life game.

Are they releasing PC and Xbox versions? Are they both coming out at the same time?

The Xbox version is the only one coming out on the 9th. I haven't heard anything official about the PC version, not even an estimated date. Has anyone else?

I'm gonna buy my Xbox and the game at the same time. I can't wait! I should do the preorder sometime soon, but I work at Best Buy, so I can just grab a copy before the store opens.

Where did you read this? I know that Halo2 isn't fully released until then (Nov. 10=Europe, Nov.11 Asia), but I thought that it would be ready to play LIVE as soon as the N. American release.

I even heard that the first few players who get to LIVE first will have a chance to play some of the Bungie HALO team who'll be waiting for some competition.

I wish I could find the link where I read this.

SP was so repetitive, you were always backtracking, and MP wasn't that much fun

yuanji can you show me a link?? I suppose i can still play on XBC, damn I had my whole Tuesday planned out , 12:30 AM - 12:30 PM was halo time, then class afterwards. booooo for non-Live Halo on the 9th!!

If you goto IGN's Xbox Website there's an article about what most people will play first on Nov. 9th when Halo 2 comes out. Whether it be Xbox Live Multiplayer, or Single Player Story Mode.

i'm sorry after looking further into it, yes HALO2 will be on live when it releases. there is a Xbox Live HALO2 tournament on the 11th. sorry for the misconception of info people

if you enjoy playing games, and you dont buy halo 2, your crazy. i have played halo for sooo many hours. ive beaten it in every difficulty and then some with co op with my friends and not to mention multi player.. wow best game ever..

I didn't find the first Halo that great. Maybe it was because I just finished playing Far Cry, but all the background looked the same. At certain points I swear I thought I was walking backwards. It seemed like your basic point, shoot, reload. I do admit the second doesn't look like it will follow this trend, so I am looking foward to it.

well to fully appreciate halo u had to first play it when the xbox came out. it was all new, halo defined many of the FPS today by what bungie did.

halo was a revolutionary FPS just like Goldeneye 64 or Perfect Dark(to a lesser extent), not to mention Halo put Xbox on the map. I mean, I can't say I've ever bought a system JUST for one game, unless we're talking about xBox. It's a ridiculously addictive game, especially in upper levels of multiplayer. People tell me that when I play my look sensitivity is like that of a PC FPS.... I think my sensitivity is 7 or 8, point being I doesn't take a full 2 seconds to turn all the way around; I'm turned and firing back after I hear the first shot. To anybody planning on being on Live on the wee hours of the 9th, look for me as "shadow"-something or "Zytz". Those are my 2 FPS SNs. I'll be waiting to knock you guys right down that ladder

I agree with glock17 and damontgo completely. When Xbox first came out, Halo was THE game to beat (graphics wise). I still think it holds up quite well these days.
