Warcraft 3 Hosting games
Ok I know alot of people have complained about this but I can't host any (custom) games in Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne. I can host games but only 1 person joins them every single time. Only 1. My friends can join my games though but nobody else joins. Oh and I don't use LinkSys. I use SURECOM. It would rly help if somebody could tell me how to fix this.

How's everything set up? Are your friends on the LAN or on the internet at home. Only one person joins, maybe no one else wants to play your custom game. So can u host regular games?

Hosting games
Well my friends can join from the internet for sure but it seems that no matter what game I make (any custom game) it will only have 1 person joining it. Is this something to do with my firewall? and I don't think 1 person would want to play DotA or Angel Arena. Yes I can host regular games but it's not very fun having 1 person join all the custom games u make is it?

First what firewall are you using? Make sure that port 6112 is open for Frozen Throne to use. Secondly make sure you have TCP port 6112 open on your router for both incoming and outgoing.
I recently upgraded my Internet suite and the firewall was really wonky hosting games. I finally had to go back to XP firewall and turn off the other. |

Ok I went to check out Blizzard Support pages and learnt how to open port 6112 TCP. Problem is that it still doesn't work. How would I open the port for SURECOM EP-805SX? I use Windows XP Internet Firewall. Help would be appreciated and especially some instructions so I know I didn't do anything wrong >.<

To make sure the port is open in XP firewall go to start>control panel> windows firewall. Chose the exceptions tab and add warcraft to the list.
I am not familar with the surecom routers, but whereever you set up the router when it was first installed you should be able to check and see if port 6112 is available. |

Hosting Games
I don't think the problem is people not wanting to join my games because it's just too much of a coincidence to have only 1 person joining my game all the time. Something is either blocking my hosted games out from the list or maybe it's blocking people that meet some requirements. I'll have to experiment more with my friends and I'll see how it works.
Oh and I didn't really need to "setup" my hub. I just plugged it in and it worked. |

I Have experienced this on several occaisons. Sounds to me like a router problem. If people dont see the games they cant enter them. have you tried not using a router? Run Straight from the modem to network card. Secondly have you used any hacks or cheats? Bliz has been known in the past to mute cd keys. if your friends know the games they can enter... if they dont they cant.

I have never used hacks for Warcraft before so it can't be the cd key muting.
I've tried connecting directly to the modem and it has the same results. I'm not sure if anybody out there knows the answer but I think this problem just started suddenly. I forgot what I did but one day when I started hosting games only 1 person would join. It just suddenly happened. It was 2-3 months ago so I forgot but I know I was able to host normally before. |
