Are there any good flight combat games that are online? I liked crimson skies for the xbox but im looking for something more realistic and for the PC.

The only one that held any realism was "Lock On: Modern Air Combat", however, it fell considerably short of expectations. It's performance was questionable, and the on-line experience was horrible. Myself, and several friends world-wide, had been looking forward to LOMAC, and in fact, I bought a brand new Dell just before the release. Although the system I bought was the fastest at the time, the game still had framerates as low as 8-10 FPS at times, making the game un-playable. The net code was horrific. A close friend from Holland would connect to me as host (I have the higher bandwidth connection of 3Mb/s cable) and he would appear to me to be warping all over the sky, while I showed him warping.....his ping was 130. Short of that, I have, to date, not seen any other realistic combat flight sims.
My system specs are: P4- 3.2Ghz (800 Mhz FSB) 1Gb RAM, dual channel ATI 9800 Pro 128 MB 120 gig HD |
