MOH Pacific Assualt $59.99 @ Best Buy

Am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous? The engine this game uses came out like 2 years ago. I could see if it was a ground breaking new game. Wasn't Doom 3 only $54.99 when it came out?

I came to the conclusion today that I'm not going to pay more than $29.99 for a game. I bought COD at Best Buy for $24.99 today. Last week I found GTA 3 for only $9.99 and Pain Killer for $19.99 at Target!

Maybe I'm just cheap............

The "Directors Edition DVD" is $59.99. The regular version is $49.99.

The local Circuit City was selling DooM 3 for only $45 when it came out. I bought it at Best Buy as they matched the price.

Pain Killer at Target, eh? I'll have to check that out

Pacific Assault is a stand alone game on the PC? I always just thought it was an expansion pack that looked really good. In any case, 60$ is way too much.

Pacific Assault is a completely new game. That's why it has been anticepated so much. I'm not sure whether or not it's worth buying. It got an 8.3 rating at Gamespot but it's still not as good as Allied Assault. The directors edition is on DVD-ROM and has some extra features. Similar to a DVD movie.

It's getting anemic reviews across the board. I'm not buying it, even though I'm a big MOH fan.

Thumbs down

MOH:AA never lived up to my expectations. Good single player game, but multiplayer was horrible.

If you haven't tried it already, Return To Castle Wolfenstein-Enemy Territory is a great FREE WWII game.

Multiplayer was one of the best things about MOH: AA. I still play it. I don't know what it is about that game that makes it so fun.

Just bought this game (not the directors addition) and love it. My system is nice but not the best out there, and i think thats why some people dont like this game, the high system standards it has to have. I had a small graphical glitch at the beginning that was fixed by taking off the "pixel shaders" 2.0 and I have to say this game has some really good graphics. But the thing that impressed me the most is the "havoc physics engine". It makes it so realistic (which is probably another reason some people dont like it, they want fun not realism which in my opinion is fun) Everything almost is destructable and after blowing up a barel you'll see sheetmetal sliding off a roof of a hut about 20 yards away. I mean this thing to me is as good as it gets, but maybe I just dont play enought computer games?

Unfortunately, Playing Call of Duty pretty much killed MoH for me. It does everything that MoH does times three, in my opinion.
