I think Battlefield 1942 is the best - great structure and amount of things you can do in the game.

Good ole' Medal Of Honor Allied Assault and the Call Of Duty series. This of course, you're playing for historical purposes. I myself enjoy the WW2 themed titles the best.
I hear Joint Operations is pretty good fo rmodern warfare, but I have yet to install mine. LOL...... |

Battlefield 1942 is the best online multiplayer game I've ever played. I've played Halo (PC), Call of Duty, Halo 2 (Xbox) and I still think Battlefield is the best so far. Unless you wait for Battlefield 2 to come out, then that should blow your socks off. BTW, I never personally liked Counter-Strike for some reason.

BF1942: Desert Combat is the best to date. There is actually a learning curve for learning to fly helicopters. I had to play single player with no enemies for a day to keep it airborn and lots of multiplayer to become a pro heli pilot.
As far as Medal of Honor: Its always felt like a console title. Good singleplayer but it doesnt come anyways near BF1942 and its mods. Day of Defeat Halflife mod was fun (still like it better than MoH multiplayer) and DoD: Source is out.... |

CoD, MoH:AA, Battlefield series are ok (without mods), Joint Operations is decent and UT2K4 is aight, it sorta counts as a war game (obviously not WWII).

Do you mean Ghost Recon for xbox? I rented it once and thought it was horrible. I hope the new one is better.

Star Wars Battlefront, It has been called Battlefield 1942 with Star Wars skins, but I liked it better.
