I have two hard drives on my computer one is to run xp and the other is just for gameing files. I have a western digital 200 gb hard drive and it is getting close to being full. I want to know if I compress the drive will I still be able to play my games without any problems?

Nope, b/c you will need to decompress when you want to play. Which will add time and stuttering to games and may even freeze as it tries to decompress, open, save, compress on the fly.

Or get another HD. If your mobo supports SATA, you can add a drive easily (assuming you currently have PATA drives) - or can add a 3 PATA by using only one optical drive. Or get a PCI IDE card... or an external HD and store some not often used files there. There are many choices, but compressing is the lowest on the list for game play
