Dear Forum-
Does anyone have experience with "Daisy Chaining" video cards together? Thanks and have a great weekend. Sincerely, Matt Kennedy DukeDiablo@Aol.com |

Hi DukeDiablo,
Do you mean SLI? Back when the VooDoo cards where big you could dual-SLI them for better frame rates in games. That is basically where you get two of the same video card and connect them in a way so they act like one. I've also heard of quad-SLI and higher possibilities, but to use any SLI the cards must support it. Hope that helps.

Thanks Dr., I just heard of that technique a few months ago and thought it was a nice idea.

There was talk a while back of NVidia following suit with their TNT2 cards but it never caught on.
As far as I am aware, the Voodoo 2 based cards were the only cards that supported this.

Thanks Tire,
The whole reason I got on this subject was from reading about Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s computer setup for Nascar Racing 4. "Falcon Northwest 700P, 32MB TnT Ultra w/ 2 Voodoo 2 cards in daisychain" So that is what interested me in the technique, thanks for the replies. I'll just stick with my 32MB ATI Rage 128 for now. |
