Talking Logitech MX1000 And software

I picked up the new MX1000 today after going into bestbuy to do some christmas shopping. IMHO it is the best. I even installed the software and love it. For those of you that are gamers out there and realize that logitech has yet to make drivers that work for games with these mice you can Download a program called Logigamer it can be found at www.logigamer.com. I installed it and it lets you make profiles to program the buttons for your games. For example i am a big CS:S player so I made button 7 go to Tab and some of the other buttons do other things. When you are doe playing your game simply change back to to the default profile close the program and the mouse goes back to its normal drivers...i think i havent finished playing and tweaking with this program yet. In short this program is a must have if you enjoy the extra functionality that this mouse affords and you like to game.

Nice looking, I like the battery indicator on the top, rather than the freakin green/red LED on my 700's. By the time the red LED comes on, it's game over before too long, doesn't do much good, so I just charge it every 2 days. I looked at a quick pic of it, the wheel tilts also, ehh?? Might have to check into that program, thanx for the heads up.

That's an awesome idea, like you coulid make the thumb buttons reload, switch weapons, etc. in a shooter.

Yeah thats exactly it. Usually when you install the logitech drivers games won't recognize anything but the normal three buttons. It won't even recognize buttons 4 and 5 the internet buttons. When you just leave the mouse alone and dont install the drivers the game will notice those buttons but you miss out on teh added functionality of the drivrs suck as the tilt wheel and the quick switch function. With the logigamer program all 10 buttons become programable thru profiles. You have the default profile that you dont change. When you are doing normal functions and stuff have iton teh default and close the program. when you go into the game switch to that games profile and you have alot of stiff on the mouse buttons. Its good stuff. I have the tilt wheel assigned to peak around corners in the games that will let you do that.
