ff7 compatibale w/xp?

Having problems getting to choocobee races in win xp, with final fantasy seven. yes know it is a old game.

How do I run it in win 95 compatibility mode in win xp?

Or, does anyone know of a patch, that will fix the problem.

Have searched the web to no avail. If you know a good site would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance...........Regards...................Sterling
