gaming over the dialup connection
Remember how you could dialup a friend and play Doom over the phone lines? Well I was wondering if there are any games out today that allow that type of multiplayer play.
I have two PCs and was wondering how to hook them up to play against someone and what games support that type of play?

you can still connect to them over a LAN, or dialup internet. things just will be.... SLOW. LAN is the preferable way to connect to friends if they live near you and you don't wanna buy a broadband connection

If you have a good, clean line, you can actually play modern games on some servers. I've managed to play CS:S on a dialup connection that connects at 50.6K, with 33K down/18K up.
You still will experience lag a times, though. [edit]: I saw your other thread, and as for HL2:DM, on dialup, forget it. It's even quite laggy on a broadband connection, due to its higly interactive nature.
