Mobile gaming laptop OK?
Hi, I was looking for some help from some people more educated then I in the mobile gaming sector. I just pick up this Toshiba Satellite A75-s209. Will I be able to enjoy such games like Half-Life 2, Counter Strike, and World of Warcraft? The stats are:
Mobile Pentium 4 3.06 GHz 533 FSB 512 DDR ram 60 GB HD ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP I will probably upgrade to 1 gig of ram. Thanks a ton for you help and input. Last edited by Luxed; 12-22-2004 at 03:39 PM. Reason: forgot sumthing |

I suggest keeping it at 512mb and getting the video card upgrade to something better....counter-strike will run, and maybe WoW but half-life2 will not run even decent, if at all

Gaming laptop is kind of an oxy-moron. Like military intelagence or happily married. Many lap tops cant play high end games because you can only fit so much performance in such a small size. But a friend of mine just picked up a new lap top with a 3200 64bit AMD Proc and a ATI 9600 mobile card and he plays HL2 on medium settings and it looks pretty good. I would imagine that you could play games like HL2 on low basic settings, but dont expect anything great.

The RAM won't help much. The video card isn't that great of a gaming card.
