Your system looks good. I would try running at the highest settings. IF you run into problems you can back off a bit but I do not see any problem running at the highest settings for the game.

Well whatever settingsw you run it at(whatever it determines is good for your system) the game will look beautiful and run smoothly, is there anymore you can ask? Don't know exactly what it will run at, but again, it will play great.

I run at almost identical specs to yours (just 200Mhz lower on clockspeed). I have Half Life 2 at almost all high settings on DX9 with AA at 2X - just be sure you get the extra stick of 512MB soon as they should highly benefit the graphics on the source engine. Half Life 2 on ATI Radeon 9800 Pro is as pretty darn good.

You will be able to run the game with everything cranked up, and probably with 4x or 8x AA.

Why don't you download the demo and see how it runs? I played the demo on the highest settings with 2x AA and it was smooth as butter. I think I'll try it at 4x AA and see what happens.

I would download the demo however my build is being assembled and I forgot to order a PSU. So in acouple of days I will. I knew that it would look good on any setting but was hoping it could run maxed out.
