HD Benchmark Scores
Lo Peeps!
I have the following setup: 1x Seagate 80Gb using Serillel2 to connect to the RAID header on my mobo 2x Partitions: C/ 10Gb using FAT32 and D/ 70Gb using NTFS I ran the HD Tach benchmark on my PC and came up with the following scores: Burst speed: 74.3MB/s Average Read: 40.4MB/s I was wondering what results if any other people have had and whether mine seems low (it does to me but I'm no expert!). HD Tach can be found here: http://www.simplisoftware.com/Public...request=HdTach J

I don't know enough about it to be certain to be honest mate - I thought the idea was that F@H only uses available resources. With that in mind then I would have thought that under a stress-test it would either stop using resources or use very little. That said, I really don't know much about it.
My score doesn't seem to be that low in comparison to other people scores with similar set-ups. I thought that PATA drives were supposed to be rated at 100Mb/s and SATA at 150Mb/s?! I know that this is mainly at burst speed and very rarely achieved at "real" usage levels but surely it should be higher than 40% of rated?! J
