Help i have a hp pavilion 8395 that has Ati Rage Pro Turbo AGP 8mb SDRAM on the mother board I have went into device manager and clicked Displays and removed the Ati,Then pluged in the monitor in to the new Voodoo 5 card after installing it in the PCI slot and hooking up a power supply to the voodoo, The mother board does have a jumper its a 1-2 INT Disable & 2-3 int Enable The jumper is on enable. There is also on the mother board a 1-2VGA enable & a 2-3 Disable problem is there is no pegs or anything i can see to make the jump. The Mother Board is made be Leapord Part #D6364-9000 for # D7182A. When i put the voodoo in and restart the computer i get the screen where everything is loading up the memory etc... then there is a beep like it is about to go into windows at that point it does nothing and the screen is blank (blackish) like it wont boot into windows. I don't know much about computers but i am sure that someone here does and would like some feedback if possible Thanks Jay

If you're seeing BIOS and the Post on your screen then you've got the jumpers set up right. Sounds like a Windows problem.
Try holding the Control button during the end of the Post. When it gives you options select "Safe Mode". When you get to the desktop, right click on "My Computer" and select properties. Go to the Device Manager tab and ensure that there is only your Voodoo card under Display Adapters. If more than one exist, delete both of them and reboot the system. Be ready with the Voodoo's installation CD if it asks you for it.

I had a HP 4455 and had similar problems. The first thing would be to go the HP wesite and search the forums for directions on installing the card. On mine, I was installing a 32mb Ati. First, go to device manager and remove the ati adapter, you need to be running under standard vga. Then shut off the system, move the jumper to disable, install the Voodoo, then power it up. It should find the new hardware, and ask for the drivers so have the cd ready. Mine was a real pain, because if i didnt get it to go, i had to remove the Agp card and reenable the onboard, let it find it, the try again.
