Red Alert 2 problems
Hey, IM running a pretty good CPU and m0b0 config but i only have 512 of RAM. IM running into issues such as right clicking on the taskbar and the menu comes up 20 seconds later. I recently defragmented and that helped. I think it also has something to do with stylexp because i changed the boot screen, login, wallpaper, icons, and general theme. i chose the option to use no system resources. What my main point here is that im playing Red Alert 2 (while i wait to get yuris revenge ) and i get lag whenever a building is being built. Do you think its my ram? What should i do?

is there also a diagnostic program that tells you how much resources/memory is being used?

Hmmm, dont think the amount of ram is doing it. 512 should be fine.
However, I had a piece of software that was doing it for me. Everything seemed to take forever to load. I deleted the software and reinstalled it and everything was ok. Sorry, I cant tell you how to find out what software program might be doing it, just look for things running differently than usuall. Something you might try, is bring up task manager (control alt delete buttons at the same time) and look under the processes tab, to see what is using your memory. If one is using quite a lot, might be the culprit. Dont know if this helps, except pretty sure you can rule out ram being the problem. Hope this helps.......................Sterling Last edited by sataraid0; 01-23-2005 at 09:40 AM. Reason: more info |
