Counter-Strike Source w/ a Radeon 9600

Hi all,

For some reason when i go to play the map de_aztec, all of the water is yellow, rather than clear. I know this isnt a big deal but I would like to fix it. I thought it was a driver problem but im not sure now after trying all the newest Omega, DNA, and Catalyst drivers. What drivers are you guys using when playing CSS? Does this problem really have something to do with drivers? Any advice?

Thanks in Advance,
/sd

EDIT: Also, does anyone know how to increase game performance without knocking every setting to low? What can I do to get more FPS? I get about 30 FPS and it drops almost as low as 12 in 3-4 person firefights. ( ya I know almost unplayable )

hmm.. I'd rather not screw around with the console at first... are there any tips to improve overall computer performance besides the obvious like OC and defragmenting?

I'm using the Omega 4.11 drivers.

For improved performance go to http://www.pcmech.com/show/optimize/677/

Do everything on there that you understand. Just general OS tweaking and regular maintenance do a lot to improve performance. Also if you have RadLinker (comes with the Omega drivers) you can try to overclock a little bit if you are feeling daring.

Also, see if there are any programs running in the background that you can eliminate from startup.
