Half Life 2 with Dial up

Okay my new PC is up and running and I am installing HL2, problem was I really, really didn't want to have the NET on my computer, so I tried to hook up the cable modem to my computer, didn't work. So I went and paid 9.95 USD for one MONTH of dial up from Juno. It is so slow. Right now it is "Decrypting Game Files" or somthing. Wish me luck. I'll tell you how awesome it is when it is ready.
PS- i know there are a TON of HL2 posts but I am psyched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you installing the retail version or did you buy it from Steam? If you bought it from Steam, we'll look forward to your post next month when you get it installed.

Yeah, just to let you know, HL2 is the best game EVER. I got Doom 3 the other day, and have only played it once. I installed it, played for an hour, then quit and went back into HL2!

Okay it is now ready, but when I got off the train it started going real choppy, and the sound was going,"welco wel wel come come welwlewle" or somthing like that. so I am defraging right now. And the If that doesn't work I'll lower the settigs abit.
