unreal tournament 2004. also battlefield 2 will be out sometime in the next while, hopefully soon

I would recommend wolrd of warcraft, its fairly new and you would be more likely to meet up with other new players. older ones would be harder to establish yourself in I would think.

If I'm not mistaken, Vampire : Bloodlines, the sequel to Vampire : The Masquerade, is a fps now. It uses the HL2 engine. I haven't tried it yet, but I really looks good, and the first game rocked. I heard system requirements might make your eyebrows rise, though. V:Bloodlines is an 18+ game though, it seems to have pretty explicit content.

Out of the games you mentioned : I'd go with World of Warcraft (when is the Europe release coming anyway )

I'll say Farcry. Or if your system could not handle it, then Halo would be next

I find for some reason halo is more taxing on my pc than far cry , i was going to reccomend it but didnt because of that, and I didnt think to many people would still be interested in playing, good to hear people are still into it

I agree... I find that the Halo rendering engine is very poorly done and causes problems on almost every PC I've seen it run on. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Halo/Halo 2, I just don't think Halo PC was tested enough/properly and is extremely picky about configuration and components. I bough it, played it for a couple weeks and haven't touched it since.

That said, Farcry is an amazing game and I would say go for it. Mind you, I haven't played a couple of the others you inquired about.

Dark Age of Camelot is also another mmorpg that would work well on most systems, ive played it for over 2yrs and im still playing it today, my favorite game to play as there are threee realms and you get to fight each other

Most of the problems (cept the nVidia camo problem) where inproved on and faster shaders were fixed with Halo: Custom Edition back in May. Also, telling Halo to use pixel shader 1.1 greatly improves performance on older video cards.

For mmorpg, I'd say WoW is the best out there.

Yeah. I've owned every Blizzard game they have ever made and they have never let me down. Warcraft, Startcraft, Diablo - I spent countless hours playing those games. I still play Warcraft III, and I played Diablo 2 for over 4 years (worst addiction I've ever had).

I would agree on WoW simply because it is a blizzard title. Like Moose on the Loose I still play warcraft III...that game led me to pc gaming.

Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield for FPS. 4 is supposed to come out this spring/summer. Awesome online experience, single player takes some getting used to, spend alot of time in the "planning stage" for the missions.

WoW
Don't touch Halo unless you want to play MP, I reckon there's much better out there in SP mode

So what is so good about WoW, I know it got good reviews, but what sets it out over the other mmorpgs, cuz i dont wanna spend 50 bucks and a monthly subscription fee for a game that just has better graphics then the other ones.

WoW
its MASSIVE, like 8 races... multiple NPC's, PVP combat, fun- all you want in a mmorpg. the only downside in my opinion is the payment... but i still love it

Jason

PS: who ever has it... join me on the bronzebeard realm.... my name is baboon... im a lvl 23 hunter and yes im a girl in the game.... lol
