this is one of my fave games of all time, unfortunately, it only works on DOS. after many problems, i have been finally been able to get it working on my windows 2000. but, i have to select no sound card, as it does not work with the selection of the sound cards provided. the error message is
'the NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction' then a string of numbers. i was just wondering if there is a way to get sound working for DOS programs, or this one specifically please. i have downloaded vdmsound but have no idea how to use it, can someone help me please? any help appreciated.

Navil, welcome to PC Mech. Seeing this is your first post I'll make this easy. Please read the Forum Rules and reduce your sig graphic to the proper size. Thanx.
-------------------------moderator---------------------- edit: never mind, I deleted it. You can repost the correct size. Keep in mind we try to be user friendly for the dial up crowd too.

Do you have the update/patch for the game?
That error has something to do with it being a 16-bit game. GL

Do you have options for the game? Maybe you have to set the sound to be played on your PC Speaker that is in your case.
