Question Diamond V770 question

I just installed a new Diamond 32MB V770 AGP card. Everything runs fine but, my icons seem like they are in 16 colors when everything else is in 16 bit color. Any idea on how to fix this?

Hi,

What drivers are you using, Diamond's or Nvidia's? Also the icons may look kinda funny if you don't restart before applying the new color settings, did you restart before changing to 16 bit colors? Hope this helps.

I have had no problems with the Diamond drivers that came with my V770 Ultra. I did, however have to return it to Diamond due to a noisy fan on the chip heatsink. I have had the replacement card since Dec 1999. I have resisted the Detonator drivers because of the trouble free service with the original drivers. I don't know what I would gain. I most recently purchased a Non-ultra V770 off ebay. Personally feel that it is a solid performer, even graphic intensive games do well.
