Now im a serious star wars fan. I mean serious, during my middle school and elemetneary i would cross reference all my data. i knew my star wars history. this game Knights of the Old Republic surprised me when it came out (er well i got it about 8months later when it was cheap lol) and man i was hooked (finished it my second time thro) it kinda doesnt fit with the story plot of all the stuff i looked up but it fits and its really well done. now the Sith Lords (havent beaten yet due to monitor failure...) well its hard to say but it really has a lot of things to do before it can take up what kotor 1 left behind (for rpg fans or star wars fans, since i dont like rpg cept this game) and so far im enjoying my self with the game. the graphics are somewhat the same... alittle better, but most of the problems from the first game (some fustrating levels and dumb ai that seem to gltich and get stuck in the middle of a road and low framerates) but it has a plus side. now i think the actually scripting is awesoem better then the first game. kinda like empire strikes back. it really makes it feel more ummm i dunno just cool. if ur not an rpg fan but a star wars fan then i would recommand this game. rpg fan, well this is alot of fun (so far for me) and its suppsoe to be longer then the first game ( i think 18hrs ...tho it varies) this is suppose to be 40hrs +... thats a long time. any how i was wonder what other ppl who tried the game has to say.
Spartan-015 PS anyone try republic commando? awseome game... try the demo at http://www.download.com/Star-Wars-Re...ml?tag=lst-0-1 (www.download.com has the best high speed dl for cable and dsl ppl)

KOTOR 1 rocked! It is my first RPG that I ever beat. Haven't played #2 yet but I plan too after school is over and I have time to enjoy it (I know once I start I won't put it down).
As far as Rep. Comm., I didnt really like it.

I loved the first one, and couldn't wait for the second one. I bought II when it came out, put about 10 hours into it, and haven't played since. I don't know what it is, but it just didn't hold my interest like the first. I may pick it up again soon.

Yes KOTOR was definitly better than KOTOR II. It (KOTOR II) was to easy in my opinion. I had more trouble with some of the "minions" or "easy guys" than I did the bosses. I'd personally wait for the price to drop before buying it. But right now I am playing CS Source and Republic Commando. RC is definitly one of the best squad games IMO. But it doesn't give me the Star Wars feel like Jedi Knight Dark Forces II or Outcast. It seemed to be more like somthing from the Rebellion age of star wars. Or even somthing like the strike force in Star by Star. Minus the Jedi running around I have like 80-90 SW books that have been read repeatedly.
But it is definitly an excellent game.

It needed to be longer. and it would have been better if I can get both KOTOR and KOTOR II on DVD's...

Was never a fan of KOTOR. Took too long to start up with the action so I abandoned it early on. I may try it again though.

true that the action is kinda slow... but it helps u get used to the system... and once u get a decent character it gets fun. Finally my character got a Lightsaber and reached a point where he learns more about the Force...

I'm at the point now where that one girl ( name removed to not give away anything.) attacks that one guy so I can escape. WOW what a turn of events!! I never saw that coming. This story is simply AMAZING. I don't remember playing a game that has gripped me like this one has. I think the last one that did this to me was Wing Commander III. That was real cool. It was more movie than game.

I liked KOTOR II a lot. It was fun being evil and making my companions evil and training them to be jedis
