I can't for the life of me get this to work. I can connect to the server but voice activation doesn't work. If I press a button, it lights up that I'm talkin but I don't hear anything. I can hear myself through the mic when not talking on TeamSpeak and I have it's settings so even a slight whisper should set it off but nothing ever works and no one can ever hear me. I can hear them okay. Any help plz?

Go to options and try changing your sound settings. Once you think you have them, you can go to another option that lets hear what you sound like and configure the sound activation levels.

the precurseres to them, the top of the head ones, were good. I don't know aobut these. I just know you don't want a 2 dollar pair of headphones. YOu will use this for game sounds as well as TS and its better to spend the extra cash than to "get what you paid for"

Well I have some cheap sony headphones and generic mic now and everyone says they hear me clearly. I'm no pro, I don't need 20$ ones if 2$ ones do just as fine.

Trust me, they do, I have them.
They work well once you adjust the mic, and they mean you don't have to move to talk using them. They stay on your head because the earpads kind of grip vertically whilst the bend in them lightly squeezes to your head. As Ninja said, I believe you should go with the $18 ones, even if you're 'no pro'. It's just a better experience all round having nice, comfortable ones, and you do get what you pay for. Dragon, I'm assuming all your friends use TeamSpeak, and that's why you want it, but have you ever tried RogerWilco?? |

Nope never used it. I'm hesitant to install anything that's associated with GameSpy. Does it work well? Any bloat to it? Don't know anyone on it anyway to even try it.

I use these and they're really comfortable and the mic is really good. There are lots of positive reviews for them on Newegg but they're quite a bit more $$ there.

Just saw about Ventrilo... looks good. Ordered the headphones for 35$, couldn't pass it up. I'll post back when I get them to say how they compare to the cheapo brands I have now.
Edit: I also noticed that Creative has some buggy drivers and is part of the problem I originally had, just in case anyone was curious. Many ppl have no problems with creative, others have many. Last edited by DragonNOA1; 03-17-2005 at 01:29 PM. |

No bloatthat I've noticed on RW. And it works fine, I was just wondering whether you'd used it.
