Hi folks; It's been months since I last asked for help. My wife is playing DAOC Catacombs. Since installing in Comp the game throws her out of the game to the desktop. This happens at various times during play, doesn't matter if she is playing off or on internet. Windows XP pops up an error screen saying game.dll, ntdll.dll, kerneral 132.dll isn't functioning. If you check the tech data it goes on for a great many pages.
The game works well then for no reason it shuts down. Game was uninstalled and reinstalled no change. System disk cleanup and defrag carried out every two - three weeks. Virus scanned weekly. Ad Aware SE checked weekly. Any body have any ideas? Her System: OS Win XP Home 5.1.2600 SP 2 build 2600 System Manufacturer: ESC System Model K7S%A AMD 1145 Mhz Chip BIOs: American Megatrends 07.00T, 0204/2001 SMBIO Ver: 2.3 RAM 1 Gig ATI Raidon 9000 Video Card (updated to latest drive) Direct X 9.0C Thanks Thomsign |

Sounds like a video problem. You can try to roll back the video driver in the device manager. I think a game like DAOC is pushing that system to the limit too.
I am not sure if there is a conflict, but your card was originally designed to use directx 8.1. Anyone know if running 9 would cause trouble? GL |

We'll try going backward on the video driver.
