Finished my Counter Strike Source map.
Map Name: de_Markham
Release Date: March 23, 2005 Number of Spawn Points: 32 Info: De_Markham is based loosely on an area in Markham Ontario Canada . Specifically the map mimics the developers' office which is bomb site "A" in the map. The rest of the map is less accurate in regards to the actual real life building complex. Besides the real life area wouldn't be a good multiplayer map anyway. That's about it. Enjoy. Screenshot & Download: http://markhamcss.50megs.com/ Peace

looks nice. I will try and put it on my server. Does it need a .res file, and if so does the file come wiht the download?

If you have any custom textures the will have to be put in a .res file so that that file can tell the client what files to download from the server. It would look something like this
"recources" { "materials/markham/customtextrue.vmt" "File" "materials/markham/customtexture.vtf" "File" "sounds/markham/custumsound.vmt" "File" "sounds/Markham/customsound.vtf" "File" { I could be wrong on that last bracket. Any way you would obviously make that file path what it should be to the correct name of the file. I will look at the download and if it has a materials folder in it I can make a .res file for you and post it. All you do is make an ascii file and save it as a .res instead of a .txt. Hl2 and CSS will know what to do with it from there. |
