A good free mmorpg
I have been playing runescape online for the past couple of years and it seems to be getting old now but what i am looking for is a game like it that is free since i am very much strapped for cash saving up to buy a laptop this summer,
so are there any good games out there that could be played on dial up that are not requireing a monthly registration or a game purchase at the store

It looks like Freeworld may be taking on more people soon.
http://www.freeworldonline.com/news.php This game has been in eternal beta for a couple years now and takes more players every couple months or so.

Works for me... http://games.swirve.com/utopia/
If that doesn't work, just go to www.swirve.com and go to their games link... you'll find both Utopia and Earth 2025. I've never got around to playing Earth, but Utopia is MASSIVE |

Does anyone think it's worth paying for a mmorpg? If so, which one?
I think the Star Wars one looks cool, but you have to buy the game plus all the expansions for it, right? EDIT: I just downloaded the R.O.S.E. online that FLo_oZX^ suggested and I think it's pretty fun so far. I've never played a mmorpg before (except the classic runescape, not the update version) so this is kind of fun to me. Anybody know about my question at the top? gunbound
www.gunbound.net its really addicting game. Takes awhile to get used to but after that you just can't get off! Finally it's getting a little boring for me after 2 years of playin, but i'll prolly come back to it in a month or so and find it just as fun as before. (weird graphics)

I think that's normal with this kind of game rip... you'll get bored, move on, then come back 4 years later (like I did to Utopia) and start all over again
