Problem encountered in the middle of the game, whats the deal?
I just started playing mafia and sometimes at no particular point in the game the screen will go blank. At this time a box pops up saying game.exe has encountered a problem do you want to send error report? I then find myself back at the desktop.
When I start playing again I may be able to play for a long time then the same thing will happen again. Has this happened to anyone before? |

I don't ever remember having that game crash. Check for patches my friend and make sure all your video and chipset drivers are up to date.

Ok I reformated the computer completley. Installed the drivers, and then mafia. I went to download the patch but I have the latest one already. It still kicks me out at random but now I do not get an wrror message, it just kicks me out to the desktop. This wouldnt bother me so much but now it does it at a specific place in the game, so obviously i cant get passed it. I had this game on my old computer and it played fine.

Play it on the old computer then
![]() I know your pain, that happened with another game I had. If you can remember the error code, perhaps contact the game company and ask for help. Perhaps contact them anyways and tell them your problem, although it shouldn't be a software or hardware problem. What's different b/w the old and the new computer?? Perhaps it could be a driver or something like that. |
