Questions about Sony PS2
Due to the lack of good driving games for the pc, I am considering a PS2 for GT4. It just looks too sweet to live without. My questions: Can you you hook one up to a regular ol' computer monitor? Also, can I use my USB wheel? Logitech w/forcefeedback. And, how does the PS2 hold up? What would be the likely problems with used ones?

I don't know much about the PS2 but I do know that the best driving games I have played are Rallysport Challenge 2 and Project Gotham 2 for Xbox. They are superb games. I recently read an article about a super realistic racing game for Xbox that should be out soon as well. I don't remember the name.
You can hook any console up to a PC monitor if you have the right equipment. You can either connect it to a tuner card on your PC or use something like THIS. I'm sure there's something like that for PS2 as well.

the name of the game is forza motorsport. it is extremely realistic. they had professional drivers do the same tracks and the times were nearly identical (human times were slightly lower because they are afraid of crashing unlike in a game cuz there's no restart button in life)

Forza looks cool. Maybe I should keep my eye on xbox as well...
So, anybody know about hooking up a usb wheel to one of these things? |

Forza looks like it will be brilliant, however in the short term GT4 is an excellent game, I'd strongly recommend it. As to the USB wheel, afraid I've got nothing

USB wont work for xbox unless you could split the wires and do some work on your own. I know people were able to do something like this by hooking up a usb something or other to a xbox controller cord and it worked flawlessly.
Good luck, I'm not much help on this matter though. BTW I just saw my first commercial for Forza Motorsport today on t.v. while watching espn. It looked cool, but to me all racing games begin to look the same to me after awhile.

Cool. Thanks for the help y'all.
Now I just have to wait for Forza to come out and decide between the 2 games... though I could always just wait for GT5 and the PS3. Nah, that might be too far off. |

I'd just go with Forza and Xbox. That's my recommendation.
