name of old game?
Maybe someone here can help. The other day at work we were discussing different old games. There was one game that was brought up that none of us can remeber the name of it. It was a kind of basic game with two opponents who battled to blow the other one up. You hung from the ceiling and you could get different weapons to blow the other one up. I vaguely remember the two opponents being worms, but i could be wrong about that part. I thought the name was annihilation or destruction or apocalypse or something along those lines, but once again its been years since i played this so i don't really remember. Anyone have a guess

then maybe it was the 1'st Doom ever made, or a very old Quake, or maybe it was just Worms, an older version of Worms Armageddon, or possibly it was Snake?

Isn't there a couple Worms games? I thought the first one dated back into the early 90's sometime? I could be, and probably am, wrong about this tho.

Must be one of the Worms games. There have been quite some of them.

One of the worms games was called Worms Armageddon if that helps at all. Perhaps that's what you're thinking of.

Consensus seems to be worms... can you give us any more details??
Perhaps, for instance, the colour of the opponents, and the kind of names of the weapon or special attacks that could be used. Was it a PC game, or for a console?? |

I think he already stated it is NOT Worms Armaggedon. That is one of the most recent worms games actually. Just make a Google search for Worms Games. The first ones were called just that, Worms and Worms 2, the latter coming out in 1997.

Aye, it does sound odd to have just two combatants. Only other game starring a worm I can think of now is Earthworm Jim, but I highly doubt it's the one being discussed herein.

the characters could have been something other than worms, it was probably about 1998 to 2001, somewhere in that range now that i start to think of it. It was a pc game. It was either a small download or something that could be played over the internet. Because i used to play it in my comp tech class, which was only a hour long. So I wouldn't have tried to download any big file on those systems. I'm postive that it was only two opponents. thanks for the help though
