Tropico and Stronghold
OK, thinking of buying a combined package of these 2, going to cost me about $20. I've read the online reviews, but I want everyone's opinions... a good purchase??

I wasn't a fan of Tropico but Stronghold was great for the limited time that I played it. I didn't play much but it has gotten good reviews and ppl have said it is better than the second one which was just released.

Go for it - I own Stronghold and Tropico 2 (I know you're concerned with the first one though) but I did enjoy both games. I never did the actual campaign in Stronghold, I just did the random missions so for me it got boring kind of quickly, but that's just me. I actually tried to get it to install again the other day after reading reviews about the new sequel, but alas my disk is too scratched to play it.
![]() Tropico you'll enjoy as well. I like playing its sequel, and I know both got decent reviews (I bought the sequel because I found it at EB one day for $10 -- and I have a soft spot for pirate games). Get it and enjoy, you won't be disappointed (especially for only $20).

I found my old copy of Stronghold and realized it was so smudged up that it wouldnt play. Took some rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls to it and I've been playing it all afternoon. I never played the campaign the first time around so I'm working on it now and find it's actually not so bad. I know you weren't asking for my opinion but I thought I'd throw it out there.
