Delta Force Xtreme vs Joint Ops

Does anyone else here think that the new Delta Force Xtreme looks and controls the same way Joint Ops does, it seems to me that Novalogic just needed a new Delta Force. So they just put new missions and used the same graphics engine, and basicly the same weapons.

The difference seems to be that Delta Force Extreme has a single player campaign while JointOps does not. I love JointOps though. I want a new video card so I can enjoy it more. I'm downloading the Delta Force Extreme demo because I'm bored and curious.

EDIT: Hahaha I played the demo. It is EXACTLY like JointOps. The menus, the graphics, weapons, vehicles, everything. The only difference is the single player campaign which didn't impress me too much. The AI is terrible and it is WAY to easy to kill the enemey. I used my machine gun like a sniper.

I think I'll stick with JointOps.

Yea, I downloaded the demo and only played it for like 5 minutes. Like you said the AI is Terrible, even the way you quit a mission is the same. They should have made this an Expansion pack for Joint OPS

Speaking of expansion packs, are they planning another one or a sequel to JointOps? I haven't heard anything about it. I don't have Escelation yet but hopefully I'll get it very soon.

Do you recommend Joint Ops? I played the demo once long ago, but it was before I had my new video card so everything looked like crap -- my old one didn't support directx 9 so nothing looked like it should.

I certainly recommend it if you want a great game that is geared toward teamworka nd tactical play. I love working with my team and planning raids on enemy camps. Having everyone pile into a helicopter and heading to the enemy base to blow them away is really fun, especially when you're organized and have specific duties (medic, engineer, etc.). I love it.

Yea Hi Ho is right the game is awesome and I highly recommend it. The AI and graphics are really good (and Im using a FX5200), weapons, and vehicles, and also it is a very teamwork kind of game, you can be an engineer, medic, gunner, sniper, and rifleman

So it's just a graphically enhanced version of Battlefield 1942 then, but without all the vehicles, huh? Believe me, I love working as a team, I used to be a DC team leader for a Battlefield clan. Good times, fond memories.

but without all the vehicles
There are plenty of vehicles. Boats, helicopters, jeeps, APC's (tanks), etc. The expansion has even more and you can even parachute out of aircraft I believe.

You guys need to wait for Battlefield 2 to come out. Half-life 2 quality graphics but with 50 x the action occurring on screen. I dedicated a good accumulated year of my life to the original battlefield, and I plan on doing the same with the sequel. Just this time I'll have to juggle college in there somewhere .

BTW, if you ever do decide to play then look me up and I'll help you learn how to fly helicopters in desert combat -- if you have the game, the dc mod is a must -- it's essential. EA hired the mod team to help design Battlefield 2 since DC was such a success -- Battlefield 2 is all modern combat -- heck yes. I think the choppers will fly the same as in DC too, which means my specialty.
