CRASH Problem with GeForce 2 mx

Can anyone help me? I have

PIII 800
128mb RAM
21Gb HDD
Gigabyte GeForce2 mx 32Mb
Viatech motherboard (dont know which model)(also used for sound)
Win 98SE

whenever i try and run games like Giants : Citizen Kabuto, Half-life, Nox - any recent game, bar Hitman(??)i get either a blue screen o' death with a 6EB2 error of some sort or a blue screen with a 4E8A0 error forcing me to reboot if i want to carry on without it crashing completely.
I have taken the AGP Apeture size down to 16Mb and that worked for a while but its come back to haunt me again.
I can sometimes get the games working if i first open up ZSNES and load a rom (its a snes emulator) and then close that and then try the game.
This is driving me up the wall so any help is greatly appreciated.

(BTW a friend of mine has told me something about those errors being RAM related - faulty connection, faulty chip - could this be it?)

I had the same problem on one of my motherboards...and the only way I got rid of it was to buy a sound card...as soon as I dissabled the on-board sound the games played fine. You could just dissable it in the BIOS and try without sound to see if that helps.
