Ever since I installed the Service Pack 2 for WinXP Pro, I never get anybody to join my custom games (Mauls, Mini-Gunners, etc.). I can leave the game open as long as I want and nobody will come, never had this happen beforehand. Is there a firewall now or something? How do I change it? Thanx

I don't have XP but DOTA 4 LIFE!
I'm not a pro computer guy, but I would see how to uninstall that pack and download your old SP. |

Not uncommon - Microsoft really went deep to change WinXP and they are still fixing its small problems. I would check blizzard's site to see if they offer any patches - I'm sure you're not the only one.

If everything worked fine before you added SP 2 make sure you redo the exceptions for Warcraft in Windows firewall. Make sure port 6112 is open for 2 way traffic to Battle-net.
Also if you have a router re-check it to make sure that the port is still open and allowed for Warcraft. |

Yea SP2 has a firewall try disableing that go to control panel then look for windows firewall, soon as you open it the first page has an option to disable it. Tha firewall kept me from hosting games too but on a different game

I recommend you use some type of firewall though if you disable the windows one. Windows firewalls have always been a pain (and I used to disable mine) but I haven't run into a problem with the new sp2 one. Just run zonealarm's basic free download and you should be fine.
