My new 64mb radeon ddr
I have the card installed, but I am running into a problem that I am unable to understand. When I open up any of my games it crops off about 35% of the picture going all around the edges of my monitor, which in some cases leaves me to even enter the games at all...I am at a loss for words over this, and have contacted ati through their web sight, with no response at all. I am hoping this is just some over sight on my part, but seem to lack the knowledge needed to figure this one out. Anyone have any ideas for this befuddled person???

Just wondering, have you got an option on your monitor to adjust horizontal and vertical picture size? (I don't mean change resolution). I remember when I first installed my old Voodoo card I had to re- adjust the settings. (Through a built in menu on the monitor).
You probably know all that though. |

Ok I feel pretty silly. After reading your questions I decided to check out to see what my monitor was doing. In doing so I found the wrong drivers, and a refresh rate beyond that of my monitors capabilities was the problem. I clearly was worried I had seriously screwed up, and in that overlooked something so simple...thanks for the pointer in the right direction. Especially you Pot, your question opened up my eyes so to speak.
